Pam Henry Smith is the author of “Meet Mack”. She tells life stories that inspire her students. Her writing helps children understand that all family members can help while going through difficult situations.
Pam was born and raised in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. She attended the University of Arkansas and graduated from the University of Central Arkansas with a Bachelor of Education degree. Upon graduation she became an educator and taught most of her 32 years in White Hall, Arkansas.
Although Pam came from a divorced family, her life was surrounded by loving parents and grandparents, and many of her childhood memories were made with her sister, Paula, at both of her grandparents’ homes.
While teaching fourth grade, she encouraged her students to create stories based on true life experiences. “Meet Mack” is based on experiences with her paternal grandparents, Grammy and Daddy Guy and details the incredible journey of Mack’s life that exposed a deep love that a family unit needs.
Pam is retired and living in Hot Springs, Arkansas. She has three beautiful children and five awesome grandchildren. Grandparents play an important role in children’s lives and she felt inspired to write this story to show her love for her grandparents.
